
1. Potential Students who are unable to attend fulltime of part time classes on a regular basis.

b. As a Day Care Manager, Child Care Teacher Assistant, Pre-School Teacher, Au Pair or entrepreneur
c. In the Electrical Engineering or Mechanical fields and need to acquire a relevant qualification
NB: Potential Distance Learning Students must be computer literate and have access to a computer and the internet to access learning material.
NB: Potential students must be able to travel to Cape Town to write the external examination.
(Arrangements can be made for rural students to write tests under invigilation at their work place)

Entry requirement:
• Grade 12 Certificate or National Senior Certificate (NSC); or National Curriculum Vocational (NCV) Level 4
• Accounting (compulsory for Financial Management N4)
• NB: Foreign Nationals: SAQA accreditation
• Minimum 20 years of age
• Currently employed in the related field
AND/OR
• 2 year’s work experience in the related field (Proof: Letter from current or previous employer)
1. The candidate must obtain a year mark of 40% to be allowed to write the final exam.
2. An internal and external exam is written during and at the end of each semester
3. Students must complete 4 subjects to finish each certificate (i.e. N4).
4. Students must pass a total of 12 subjects and complete 18 months of in-service training to be awarded the National N Diploma. (N4, N5, N6).
5. If students are employed in a related field it would count towards the in-service training component.
6. Students must note that it is possible to log the in-service training component of 18 months concurrently upon enrolment into N6 (providing all N4 & N5 subjects were passed) with the theory studies but that the Diploma will only be issued after a minimum of three years from first registration. The in-service component must comply with the requirements for the specific programme. Students will be given advice on the authenticity of their in-service training.
